This collection brings together paintings created both outdoors and in the studio—each rooted in a direct response to the landscape and the experience of light.

Plein air work offers something immediate and alive. Painted on location, these pieces are shaped by changing conditions—shifting light, moving air, fleeting color. There’s a sense of urgency that invites simplification, stronger design, and a reliance on instinct. Marks are often quicker, decisions more decisive, capturing not just the scene, but the feeling of being present within it.

Alongside these are studio landscapes, developed more slowly and with time for reflection. Some are built from studies made on site, while others are composed with greater intention—allowing for refinement, adjustment, and a deeper exploration of structure and atmosphere. While the pace may differ, the connection to observation remains constant.
